About Us
Dogs R Us Agility Club or DRUAC for short, trains on Sunday Morning's between March and December. We are a not for profit club run by an elected committee. Each year we donate hundreds of pounds to charities nominated at the end of the year by club members. We raise money throughout the year by participating in demonstrations at local events.
Membership
Membership is £20 a year per person. Weekly training sessions are £2 a week per person, irrespective of dogs run. Membership is for the year for each person who trains at DRUAC.
DRUAC Facilities;
Experienced Handler
If you are an experienced Agility handler, we set up an open training/practice course each week for the use of agility handlers. There is an annual membership fee of £20 and a charge of just £2 per session irrespective of the number of dogs run
Never done Agility before;
Prospective trainees will be asked to undergo a simple initial assessment to check that the dog & owner have basic obedience skills assessment and that the dog is well behaved in the company of other dogs. Many people say that their dog's obedience skills increase enormously when they take part in agility training
Beginner classes;
Two structured courses each 10 weeks - Beginners and Improvers. You can attempt either of these classes again if you feel that you are not ready to progress at the end of a set of lessons.
Fees payable at time of assessment are £20 (plus £20 membership),
On completion of the above training you will be free to use the open courses.
We run beginners courses in March, June and September
Just drop in and have a chat, or contact us via the contact page.
Provisional start date for the next beginners class is the Mar-18 (exact date to be notified). Subject to change depending on the weather
